The legend goes, give a woman a pair of high heels and she’ll walk for miles. Whilst high heel trends come and go there’s no denying that a good, chic black high heel will be one of the most powerful tools in your wardrobe. Getting stuck in a rut with your own personal style is easy, and you can often find yourself returning to your favourite looks for comfort and ease. So in an effort to shake things up, we’ve taken up the challenge of styling up a simple but stylish black heel in 5 very different ways, using our signature black stiletto ‘Influence’ as a base.
Starting with the shoes, we wanted to create a look that was comfortable as well as flirty. Pairing Influence with this stunning Cushnie et Ochs Juno cape-effect velvet jumpsuit in a rich deep purple. The cut is flattering for all body shapes, but still gives the body room to move. We’ve opted for simple accessories that pop. These simple Zales gold hoop earrings bring a flirty playfulness, which you can glam up with this Stephen Webster Crystal Haze emerald and diamond ring and an elegant Rolex is the cherry on top of the seduction sundae.
For makeup, we’d recommend keeping it casual, opting for soft rosy tones and a spritz of your favourite perfume to give you a boost of confidence that will radiate out from you.
Workwear is the easiest rut to get stuck in, so we wanted to create a look that was classic, formal, but still had a little edge and personality. We’ve opted for a monochrome look. starting with a pair of ultra-comfortable wide legged high waisted pants from Moda Operandi which will accentuate your waist, married with a ruffled white Gucci blouse with neck detail, to add a little twist to the classic white shirt. To bring the look together, and keep things cosy we’ve added the Lee Kasha cashmere cardigan in grey, and a big Burberry bag that should house everything you need when you’re running between meetings. Finally, throw on a pair of Kamica Hampton’s and a swipe of your favourite red lipstick and you’re ready to take on the world.
Rock Chic Realness
Get a little bit grimy with this hardcore look. We love the juxtaposition between a pair of high-end high heels, with a more informal punk rock look. Taking our fabulous jet black ‘Influence’ shoes for inspiration we’ve teamed the shoes with a pair of ripped black jeans from high street favourites Topshop and an edgy biker jacket from Saint Laurent. Keeping things simple, we opted for a gorgeous luxury black cropped tee from Alexander Wang, a pair of killer shades from Gucci and a simple studded beanie.
Every Day Glam
We’re taking the classic jeans and a sweater look and injecting some serious glam. Starting with the basics, we have a fitted pair of skinny jeans, matched with a soft charcoal cashmere sweater and topped with a statement jacket. This detailed phoenix embellished velvet jacket from Anna Sui has 1940s glamour written all over it and injects real elegance into every day. For accessories, we’ve kept it simple and chic. Picking a pair of round Gucci sunnies and a neat Kate Spade necklace for a little bit of sparkle.
When it’s time to put your best foot forward, only a pair of high-end high heels will do. We’ve built this glamorous event ready look from the ground up. Starting with Influence, our black platform heels, we’ve worked our way up and found an incredible black Alexander McQueen gown with red detailing that’s guaranteed to turn a few heads. Adding a pop of colour, we’ve opted for a Vivienne Westwood clutch bag and a pair of red pear-shaped earrings.
Most importantly, you should remember to have fun with fashion. Whether you’re on the red carpet, in the office, or at lunch with your friends our heels are versatile enough to be styled to suit your unique personality.
